I came to get my blood pressure checked as it was too high when the Doctor took it. I saw Nurse Maryrose. She asked me if I was a new patient (I have been with the surgery for 11 years) and then realised she had the wrong details on the screen. She was unfriendly and cold. My reading was higher than when the Doctor did it, The second was lower, by this time I was anxious. I started to say something and she answered "Shhhsh!" and was scrabbling in her drawer, brought out a bit of paper and asked me if I would like a jab against Shingles. I refused. She did another reading, it was much the same as the last. She booked an appointment for me for the following week for another reading telling me if it was still high, I would have to see a Doctor. I would have thought that getting the right patient on the screen might have been a good start, greeting them by name and making them feel comfortable would have been a plus. Especially for Blood Pressure readings. And being told to "Shhhsh" is unprofessional, rude and out of order. I will be asking Not to see her again. I will make a point of
