12th July 2023

When I inquired as to why I had received an email to confirm that my medication request had been received I then find that it hadn't at all...This is the second time in a row that this has happened..I have also had this problem on other sporadic occasions over the last year or two..I , therefore, said that to solve this not uncommon problem I would come in to surgery and fill out the form and then return at a later date to collect the script and take it to a pharmacy myself.I was then informed that this was no longer possible and all repeat meds are done online... However this process does not work...Then I was told that my script would be done in three working days even though my original request was made at 1530 hrs on 7th July..(today being the 12th July and a weds afternoon...This means I will probably have to wait until Tues 18th July for prescribed pain relief (11 days wait in total and 9 working days). As my frustration grew I was told to leave the practice...Nobody would answer any question as to what is going wrong...Nobody knew who I could contact to ask...Nobody wanted to listen to my situation and try to solve it...The old adage of''We don't tolerate raise voice or aggressive language''was banded around like a magical shield however my right to not be fobbed off or upset or offended was completely dismissed out of hand....No need to explain the lack of service,no need to explain the continued use of a poor system nobody was responsible and if they were nobody knew who that was...All being said and done I am aware that b ING in constant pain is not life threatening however it is extremely difficult to cope with and after years of it excuses as to why a surgery doesn't seem to have any interest in solutions and dismisses my feelings and well being falls very short of what is expected....
