I want to express my gratitude and give a shout-out to the reception staff at the Vine Medical Centre. These ladies often get bad press, but each and every time I have visited the Surgery I have always experienced the best and most sincere help, understanding and friendliness from them. We, the patients often forget that the reception staff do far more than just answer our calls, book appointments, hand out prescriptions and listen to our woes. They, being the front-line of what is a smooth running and excellent GP Surgery, deal with far more than they are given credit for as well as dealing with the not so friendly sometimes rude, impatient patients that present themselves at the desk or on the phone. I have required patient transport in order to visit a Hospital as a day patient requiring sedation. So not being allowed to drive myself or having anyone I can call upon personally to take me and bring me home afterwards, I am eternally grateful for this service. It is a great relief that on three occasions now the receptionists have organised and managed this for me which has taken away the stress of this situation. I wouldn't normally single anyone out as I have found all the receptionists to be of great help to me over the years, but on this occasion I must highlight and say a big thank you to Calli and Sanda.
