Getting online appointment takes you 2 to 3 weeks. The telephone calls takes forever to wait. Better to go there and talk to the receptionist, some of them are good, some of them will tell you to go to the online appointment. Some of them does not understand the meaning of “URGENT”. They will still tell you to wait for their call.

Suggested improvements
Explain to the staff to prioritize their patients, to know what emergency means. In my case, I went to the hospital and they did all the tests, X-rays, scan, blood test, urine test, ECG and told me to talk to my doctor urgently because I have to stop a maintenance tablet I am taking. Three days after that incident still waiting for the urgent doctor appointment. I stopped my BP maintenance for 3 days now and am anxious about it. I went to the surgery and they told me to wait a call in the afternoon, and I was beginning to be breathless again after that. This is not how we treat our patients in the hospital as I am working in NHS hospital.
