I called the surgery to ask if a Dr could come out to my son due to high temperatures & he is prone to febrile convulsions. I expressed concern that having to wrap him up to bring him out in the cold would be detrimental. The on call Dr refused & I had to take him to surgery. The GP I saw dismissed all of my concerns, telling me to keep giving meds for temperature & that his chest was clear. Despite my son having a history of convulsions & hospital admissions due to chest infections & increased work of breathing. 6 hours later, I find myself at hospital with my son, who has a severe chest infection & sky high temperature (despite meds) The GP was completely dismissive of my parental concerns, patronizing & bordering on rude. I am extremely disappointed by this, as the GP I regularly see with my son is fab & has been a wonderful source of support & advice. He has never once made the wrong decision regarding my sons care. Sadly this is not the first time I have had this problem with the GP I saw today, but had no choice as she was the on call. I will not trust her again with my sons health
