I think it is really important to check that a patient is not without their medication.
I went to the pharmacy where my normal prescription has been sent for the last 5 + years to find that the prescription had been stopped. I had a text to state that the doctor wanted to see me before prescribing again. Just by chance I had booked an appointment to see my doctor who was as surprised as myself that my medication had not been prescribed and put a prescription in immediately for me.
