Everyone working in the practice is extremely well organised and they share the same work ethic e.g. polite and caring to all patients and each other, even in the face of difficult issues; very knowledgeable about their areas of expertise and willing / able to refer you to the most appropriate support / person within the surgery; good listeners and wise speakers whose recommendations invariably offer excellent advice; doctors always involve patient in making well informed decisions regarding outcomes; firm but caring in addressing difficult issues / situations / patients (as noted when sitting in the waiting area); receptionists are very approachable, well informed and helpful. From the tales I hear from family and friends regarding their GP practices, I feel very lucky to be registered with Sutherland Lodge Practice. We desperately need more GPs in the practice, as GP:patient ratio will confirm.

Response from Sutherland Lodge Surgery

Thank you very much for giving such a balanced view of your perception of this Surgery. We are exceptionally proud of all our staff plus the care and devotion they so obviously have for their patients and we are very glad that this is how it is perceived. With regard to the Patient :Doctor ratio, we are currently recruiting a replacement for Dr Edelsten with a view to working more sessions.
