The surgery should not refuse older\vulnerable people to make an appointment over the telephone. You are providing an essential public service, never forget that. I was told to go online to make an appointment from reception this morning (8.45am, 20/06) Either this is policy, poor training or worse deliberate.

Suggested improvements
Tell all receptionist to take their time, and assume that patients who call choose to do so because this is the most comfortable way they can communicate, tell them to be more helpful and understanding and NOT to 'push' people to online. I think all receptionist need customer service training. Thank you.
