I was sent for an x-ray, I asked my GP did I not need a referral, to watch she replied no, it is a walk in clinic. So I eventually got to the walk in clinic, hobbling along and greet pain, after catching two buses and walking 500 600 meters. When I got there I was told that I needed a referral from my GP, as I had thought. The receptionist told me she would try and get my GP to refer me I could have a seat and wait could be sometime. So I had a seat, I waited, and I waited, and in a great deal of pain, The receptionist eventually came over to me, after about 50 minutes and told me she has been trying to contact my GP, to get a referral, but was told that my GP would not refer me, I explained to the receptionist it was her send me here in the first place, she said yes but she would refer you today because she's too busy with their patients. So I had to leave, and go the same stress and anguish to get back home. This probably would be a good practice, if the doctor knew what you was doing, I do think that always helps.
