I was there for a consultation with my physician today. I needed to use the bathroom & was horrified by the condition of the multiple bathroom cubicles located close to the main French doors. Floors were very dirty, looked as if they had not seen a lick of a mop not to speak of hot soapy water and disinfectant for many a day. Toilet paper was strewn over the floors & discarded paper in the corners, toilet seat cover lay against the wall on the floor. It was infuriating to note the number of staff members - secretaries, security guard, attendants etc. all doing very little work & naturally we, private patients, pay a great deal for their so-called 'services'. Doesn't anybody check how the cleaning staff is NOT doing their job? With the proliferation of hospital infections - and we only get to hear about those which are reported - what is management waiting for? Starbucks up the street which caters to the great unwashed had a much cleaner toilet facility which I eventually chose to use when I fled the filth of the facilities at St. John's & St. Elizabeth's.
