seeing a specialist after waiting a months of backwards & forwards to doctors I was told that I needed to see a neurologist & that I had been refered but I was discharged from the clinic without being referred, I had to go back to gp to ask to be referred to be then told it could take months. So after along time of pain I couldn't take anymore so we decided to se a neurologist privately to speed things up, I was told I needed blood tests so a letter was sent to my go requesting these when asking the surgery for the form to go to the hospital with the receptionist said as I had chosen to go down the private route that's the way I should be going for my blood tests. The doctor has done me a favour printing the form out. Whether we chose to pay for some help or not doesn't mean I'm now no longer entitled to health care on the NHS, in fact we are helping the NHS & myself. To be told this from a receptionist is an insult. You try living with this constant pain & life changing illness. Iam English & a tax payer to say Iam upset is too little. No wonder this surgery is having problems...
