Earliest appointment I can make to see a GP is Xmas eve -unacceptable. The only other option was to wait for a indefinite period of time during 'open surgery' which I did this morning - extremely inconvienient as I work full time and I'm accountable for time spent away from work. Following my appointment (which I felt the GP couldn't wait to get me out the door) it was recommended I have various blood tests. Went to reception to book myself in, I have to wait 1 WEEK until I can even have the blood test let alone get any results. Can I be clear and to the point - THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Given the continued dire straights the NhS seem to be in, the only thing I can do is to continually bring these issues to your attention, in the hope that someone somewhere will allocate health budgets accordingly to rectify the mess that is this surgery and many other surgeries across the county I'm sure.
