All doctors and nurses I have been involved with throughout my life have been great. They've been attentive, helpful, accommodating and always help me get to the bottom of any issues. The receptionists on the other hand are the worst people I have ever come across in any customer service organisation. It is like talking to a brick wall with these women. They are rude and unhelpful and expect you to know the answers to your own queries. They are clearly not trained in how to speak to people who aren't calling for the general "I need an appointment" query, and will not hold back on telling you are lying or wrong when in fact they have no idea as they don't even know who you are. I despise calling the surgeries as these women are horrid to speak to and make me feel very uneasy and unhappy. I don't know where you find them, but they need some extra training outside of not saying diseases out loud and booking appointments.

I have been a patient of dr cowling for a number of years and always found she makes time to listen and offer advice never rushing the consultation. I would add that as she is a popular doctor you may have to wait for appointments but an alternative doctor is usually a available within a couple of days for non urgent appointments. The practice is very well run and friendly. I have confidence in my gp to provide the best care available.
