The surgery seem to think that all the patients have nothing better to do at 8.30am than sit at home repeatedly trying to get through to their permanently engaged lines. If you have a school run or commute this isn't possible and even less convenient is being told to call back again after lunch when you eventually manage to get through. I called back after lunch and was then told to try again at 8.30am the following morning. Frustrating and a little upsetting when you're not feeling well. The online booking system no longer seems to be an option which is a shame because it was much easier. There is a permanent “there are no appointments available” message now. I understand that the receptionists are under pressure but they are inclined to make the patients feel like a nuisance, Unless you class your reason for seeing the doctor as urgent, you will be offered an appointment in two or even three weeks. This used to be a great surgery, the doctors looked after all my family and I really felt they cared but I'm afraid I don't feel this way anymore. I worry that elderly or vulnerable patients will find making an appointment too confusing and difficult. On a more positive note, evening appointments are very helpful for those of us who find it difficult to get to the surgery during working hours
