I cannot begin to tell you how much it saddens me to leave this negative review. I’ve been with the surgery on and off for the last forty years. Mainly with Dr Bayles a Dr Nichols. They are both the sort of doctors that anyone could ever wish for. I have often read very negative reviews about this surgery and couldn’t quite equate to what people were writing about. After the conversation I had this afternoon with Debbie on reception this afternoon I really can see where they were coming from. Oh my goodness me, although unfailingly polite, she just could not get past my own concerns for my health and well being. My quite possibly serious health conditions being raised when having my Covid booster the week before meant absolutely nothing to her . Her mantra was that there were no telephone appointments with my own GP before Christmas and that I should I buy my own health testing equipment and either call 999 or 111 if I was concerned. Excuse me , what is the point of having a local GP ? I will obviously be raising this with my local MP.

Suggested improvements
The doctors are exemplary. Dr Ian Bayles and Dr Francis Nichols are exemplary. The receptionists are a nightmare. I very sadly will be getting in touch with my MP as Debbie the receptionist this afternoon was totally devoid of any concern regarding my quite legitimate concerns regarding my health raised by the team administrating my Covid jab last week. Her advice to me was to buy my own home testing health apparatus or call 111 or 999 if I was I was concerned. Where does this leave GP’s. Are they now redundant? If so, are they no longer receiving payment from the NHS?
