Have never experienced a GP surgery like it. The reception staff can be very rude and unhelpful, make it difficult to see your own doctor even if the doctors asked for you to book in (need to tell them exactly why you are seeing the doctor again). Told them that I'm not taking a medication that was prescribed as hospital has said not to take it, but still had calls to say that I need to come and collect it. Had calls for bloods to be booked without telling me why I need blood tests. Sent to see a specialist but not told why other than the doctor wanted me to go (had never seen the doctor for the referral). Call for a smear test while pregnant and then hung up on when staff realised that I couldn't have one. Everything seems disorganised within this surgery and too many people dealing with your care without you seeing your own doctor. Have been given 3 different doctors in the 2 years I have lived here since joining this surgery and never told that my doctor had changed. The surgery needs to look at the care of patients and reception need training in confidentiality. While visiting a gentleman had become very ill and an ambulance had been called, the reception staff had just left him in the waiting area, then just as I went to book a new appointment, the receptionist shouted across the waiting area to the gentleman to tell him his ambulance was here.
