Whilst I appreciate there have been issues at the practice for some time, it is no excuse for receptionists being down right rude, and taking it upon themselves to make a judgement on how urgently a patient requires an appointment. Dr Sim and Dr McFarlane both very good GPs.

Suggested improvements
There training of receptionists really does need to be reviewed, as does the people skills of some of them. They should not make patients feel guilty about calling the practice. Also if they were a little more courteous, callers might be more understanding to the pressures they are under.
