Following my recent recent visit to the mere park medical center I thought a breif thank you would be appropriate in regards to the flexible service which they offer. The facility of turning up in the morning and waiting to see a doctor, rather than having to book many days in advance is a great and certainly helps me in my ever busy work schedule. Thanks to Dr Rhys in particular who was very helpful and informative. Thanks

I turned up there this morning, without notice, full of flu and cold symptoms. I had to wait about 40 minutes, but that seems perfectly reasonable to me, I have friends who wait that long on the phone trying to get an appointment elsewhere. The Dr was thorough in her examination, kind and helpful. I received a prescription and other helpful, advice. The NHS may be listed as in crisis at present, but my service this morning was first class. Thank you.

My experiences of the surgery are only good. The receptionists are helpful and it is very easy to get to see a doctor or nurse quickly as long as you are flexible on what time you are willing to attend (usually the next day for myself or within two weeks for my husband who is less flexible). The nurses and doctors are all very friendly, and the care they offer is excellent. My daughter recently underwent some tests, which due to an external lab issue took a little while, the doctor rang me twice to let me know what was happening (I hadn't even rung the surgery to ask) and again when the results came in. They discuss all options when having to give medication, and give you choices where possible, however they don't dish out antibiotics at the first sign of a cold but what responsible GP would?! Vaccination clinics are superbly organised, especially the children's. My children are usually kept waiting less than 5 minutes, and I have never waited longer than 15 minutes for a flu jab. Sometimes the GP's run a little late especially towards the end of surgery's but I would rather this than someone who is really in need, be shoved out of a consultation once their 5 minutes is up. All in all I think this surgery is excellent and the staff do a brilliant job.

This practice offers the best of both worlds. There is the walk in service where you do not need an appointment, the appointment system can be booked on line offering appointments from 7.30 a.m. with late evening appointments available also. In addition there is always an emergency slot available. (My daughter is in a practice where she cannot get past a nurse on the phone to get an appointment, even when she is very concerned about her children, which I personally feel is appalling.) All the staff within the practice are helpful and friendly, nurses, phlebotomist and reception staff. I cannot praise them highly enough.
