I had not received a letter from the NHS instructing me of my entitlement for a COVID inoculation. I tried to book an appointment with NHS Direct they could not find me on their database. The NHS claim that my NHS number would be on all correspondence from my GP. It is not. The NHS advised me to contact the practice to ensure that I am on the various screenings in light of the previous oversight. I asked to be provided my details so that I can peruse. This has never been provided. Furthermore recently I received a letter from the DVLA revoking my license "after a medical review", I assume an internal review. It cites that I am diabetic with insulin. It also states if I wanted to challenge their decision I would need medical evidence. As I have never been prescribed insulin I contacted my GP asking if they could provide a letter confirming whether or not if they believe I am medically fit to drive. No reply. Despite numerous attempts this year I have been unsuccessful in getting an appointment and although I did see 2 HCP and 2 Nurses they stated that they could not help. In an attempt to get an appointment I opened an NHS account with the intention of using the online method. However I was unable to operate it. My last GP appointment was in 2019 and I stood back due to the pandemic to avoid contact however it appears my good will was not reciprocated. Apparently the NHS provides money to the practice for my care. Had they gave me the money directly I could afford to go private.
