Unfortunately I cannot give less than zero, as this surgery deserves, so am giving 1 star. Have tried endlessly to get any sort of appointment or assistance from a doctor, however when you call at 8:30 in the morning, it states all lines are busy and doesn't allow you to hold, then when you eventually get through about 10 minutes later I am told by the unhelpful and unsympathetic staff that all appointments including phone appointments have been taken (supposedly they state they've allocated 40 in 10 mins!!!!!). Having been unsuccessful to get any appointment or help from them despite numerous calls, emails and letters for in excess of 4 weeks this culminated in my elderly mother having to go to A&E and being admitted for 2 weeks, the compassionate staff on NHS 111, could not believe this surgery had failed my mother in this way. All in all an absolutely shocking lack of care and surely against the hippocratic oath by all concerned at this failing surgery. I would highly recommend anyone else suffering in a similar manner leave feedback with the Care Quality Commission, something needs to be done so the poor people who are registered with this place get some help and respect.

I moved to the practice three years ago after I moved to the village in early widowhood from the North West, where I had had great faith in my GP of many years for the management of a long-term mental-health difficulty. From my first contact with the practice, and ever since, I have been confident that I would receive excellent care and monitoring of physical and mental health and have not been disappointed. I appreciate the open surgeries in particular, knowing that if it is necessary I will be seen without prior appointment, even if it sometimes means some time in the waiting room. (It would be good to improve the ventilation there, if possible.) There is a nice atmosphere in the place and the reception team manage to appear unruffled though they are so busy. The repeat prescription system is efficient and I value the availability of the minor illness practice nurse service, and blood-testing.
