Very difficult to get an appointment with my usual doctor at a time that suits me. Receptionists are VERY rude and not helpful at all, this lets a very good practice down.
Perhaps some “people skills” training is required for the reception team. People phone the surgery to get an appointment because they are unwell or need medical assistance not to be “grilled” by a rude and un-caring receptionist.

Receptionists to be more helpful and show empathy.
