From around 1999 till 2017 Heatherside Surgery was run by Dr Williams and his wife Mrs Williams, and provided an excellent service. However, since the combination of three practices the service has deteriorated badly. There seems to be a continuous change of doctors and surgery staff.
Urgent appointments are no longer available in Heatherside, not even for children.
Waiting times for appointments and tests are between two and four weeks if you want to see your chosen doctor and not even at Heatherside. The option to simply walk to your local surgery is no longer available.
Instead the patients are offered a telephone consultation. I have had no choice but to use it twice this summer. In both cases it satisfied my needs and therefore I give my review 1 star.
Why change something that was working perfectly well?
