I acknowledge that the volume of patients has increased considerably but find it frustrating that I can not always get an appointment when I want or have to explain to a receptionist, who to the best of my believe are not clinically trained nor do I feel I should blindly trust or disclose my ailments some of which are very personal to a member of staff who have in the past been unhelpful, even obstructive or failing in effective communication. I trust my Dr absolutely, but can not say the same relationship fully exists with some of the reception staff. I feel that sometimes the reception staff are like barriers to effective and timely care. There are reception staff who fully understand how to engage with patients and there are some who do not.
