Nicely updated, clean building with plenty of space in the waiting room. This seems due to the conspicuous lack of patients waiting to be seen by a doctor at any given time. What you do see is the odd doctor or clinician wandering around looking a little vacant maybe going for a little chat in the office or to collect a cup of something to drink. I have witnessed this on a number of occasions when visiting this surgery to place or collect my repeat prescriptions. I personally find this very strange, considering each time either myself or a member of my family need an appointment we either can’t get through on the phone and if you eventually do there are never any appointments available, you are then questioned by an often abrupt or aggressive receptionist about the private details of your illness or condition. These receptionists, seems to have been given the authority to then judge and decide whether or not your condition is serious enough for you to need an appointment. To add insult to injury you are then often told that they don’t have any appointments available for 2 or 3 weeks and you could try for an appointment at the Victoria Day clinic. Very Caring And Helpful When You Possibly Have An Infection Or Are In A Lot Of Pain. This Surgery has gone downhill rapidly in the past 4 years or so. I can only put this down to the change in doctors at this particular practice who seem to have a problem understanding that they are funded by the tax payer and are there to provide a service to the public, this lethargic approach and self-important air is often reflected in some of the doctors and staffs attitude towards the patient when you do eventually get an appointment. In my opinion and experience, this whole practice has gone from Good to Rubbish in a few short years and I would defiantly not recommend them. Save yourself the stress and distress this practice causes and find an alternative. I know I will.
