Hello I think to have to wait 20 plus minutes sometimes to speak to someone is a little too much. Once you get through I am actually not happy to discuss my issue with reception staff. So I always say I would like to have a chat with a Dr instead. Depends which staff is answering they can get funny about this. I obviously understand that Dr‘s don’t want to see patients with runny noses. However when I am concerned I prefer a face to face chat instead of feeling fobbed of on the phone.Sometimes you put the phone down and then it comes to your mind what you wanted to ask. In general the staff are friendly and the nurses absolutely lovely! In my healthcare I would prefer to be referred instead of trialling pills for 8 weeks and the Dr said then we see how it goes. What about you refer me to the department of need and get the facts whether I need said medicine? Feel a bit like a Guinea pig.
