The online prescription system does not allow early repeat requests to take account of peoples circumstances i.e: holidays. In addition the system does not inform you when a doctors consultation is required before prescriptions can be reissued. This can lead to expensive and unnecessary prescription charges for a short term supply(i.e. week/month) and requires working people to take time off work for urgent appointments before medication runs out rather than planned appointments around working patterns.
