Recently I was reluctant going to doctors as unsure what was wrong and when I did phone, it was always engaged or you would wait so long for someone to answer that I would hang up or when I did get a reply after holding for ages, by 8.40 all appointments woulds be taken that day and I would need to phone next day or after 2pm that day! It happened a few times and once they told me a call out doctor will phone home, without checking me properly and palming out drugs, but it did not rectify problem, so then I had to try and book an appointment by going directly to them and once again they said they would get a call out doctor and all appointments were already taken. This was at 8.40am. It was only when I said it was hard breathing and sleeping that they said I could have an appointment the next day. Yet when I went that day everyone doctor, receptionists were extremely pleasant. However the first time I rang I burst into tears when they said they will get a call out doctor to phone and when he rang me at home, he said do you suffer from depression as I cried earlier on the phone to the receptionist. I said no I am not depressed just worried about what might me wrong as my throat was swollen. I usually try all natural drugs rather than medication and I thought it would clear all by itself! So I was anxious to go to doctors. I need an ultrasound for my throat as it is swollen so it isn't tonsillitus. Every time I couldn't get through, I felt more concerned at home it could be throat cancer or something. If a doctor phones they shouldn't just assume what is wrong if they don't know all the facts and someone really needed to check my throat at the doctors and either refer me to ENT or for ultrasound. Alot of time was wasted for me and them.
