From experience, I find it difficult to obtain an appointment with my preferred Doctor and recently had to wait two weeks. However, it is possible to see other Doctors in the Surgery, without having to wait that long. Today I arrived five minutes early for my appointment and had to wait thirty five minutes before being called. No problem for me, but if a working person, then it could be ! My Doctor listened carefully and provided prescriptions for my needs.

Thank you for this very honest feedback. You are right that when a doctor runs late it can have an impact on the day of the patients who are waiting. However, it is likely that there was a patient who needed extra time with the doctor which was not foreseen, or that he/she had to deal with an emergency earlier in the session. Appointment timings are constantly under review to ensure that we achieve a balance between getting everybody seen and giving everyone enough time. Kind regards Sara Practice Manager
