The appointment system is awful, trying to get an appointment when you work full time is near enough impossible. You have to basically take off at least half a day and hope for the best. The Dr's only seem to work a few hrs a day with no dr's in the surgery Fri afternoons. Part time work...
Once you finally get an appointment every time I have been the DR has been late at turning up at work. Not arriving until 10.40am. I wish I had that luxury at my job!
Every visit I have had to wait over an hr after my appointment time. No wonder if the Dr's are always late.
The receptionists aren't helpful, there's too many policies about how to make appointments to be actually helpful. I'd be moody too if I had patients constantly disgruntled about long waiting times.
The place is a joke. The surgery should keep in mind people who work and can't afford to waste an entire day waiting around. If I could go anywhere else I would. But as I live opposite and no car I'm pretty stuck.
This is a real example of where the NHS is letting people down, not able to get appointments and ridiculous waiting times is what makes people with potentially serious problems avoid going to the DR.
I was sent a letter to make an appointment for a Health check but when I phoned to book an appointment the receptionist was blunt and offered me a Wednesday only when I said I work it was well that's the only day. Due to the unhelpfulness or an alternative solution I am unable to go for a Health Check ever due to work commitments
In the year I have been registered here, not once have I been seen on time for my appointments, and that's after spending a lot of time trying to get an advance appointment booked.
Good service and attention
Thanks
New patient with serious mental health. Old area is too far yet I have had to wait a week for an appointment. They do not do emergency appointments as they expect you to go to the hospital walk in. The walk in is very far when one is ill.
finally got my appointment and Dr Orumen was very late.
Needless to say my health has suffered.
