Having moved house many times, I have been a patient of many GP practices over the years. This is the best of some very good practices. Patients are greeted by surprisingly pleasent and helpful Receptionists. The Practice Nurses are very knowledgeable and respectful and the GPs are responsive and will return the call of a patient on request. Its clear that there is a policy if putting the patients at the heart of the practice. I have consulted with serveral of the GPs during the 2 1/2 years I have been a patient here and the care has been excellent. I was especially impressed when, confronted with something potentially serious, but not necessarily so, one of the GPs (Dr Wadwa) told me that she wanted to review the recent literature (research) on a problem before advising me further. This showed that she was taking care to give the very best advice and treatment. This practice has a rapid response service, where every patient can, on request, have a GP telephone them to talk about a problem. The call back is usually within an hour of the request. This system has been running for at least a couple of years and remains efficient. Given the level of demand on a GP practice, it amazes me how successful this is. All appears serene on the surface, but I have no doubt that all of the staff here work extremely hard to keep things running so well. At 55, with a partner of 60 (the stage in life where multiple health problems start popping-up), I feel very fortunate that we are members of this practice.
