This surgery now runs a web based query protocol the sole existence of which is to make it as difficult as possible to actually see a doctor face to face. One is asked to input one's problem on-line and then wait for a response from someone in the surgery; this could be a doctor or a receptionist depending on whether your issue is deemed to be medical or administrative. My gripe is that I feel that I am simply being fobbed off from seeing a doctor in the flesh and that this system exists simply to reduce the load on doctors' time. Their excuse for this system is that it stops time-wasters from clogging up the system; unfortunately it also promotes frustration and anger for their bona-fide patients.This system was introduced because they could not efficiently manage a 'phone up' appointment system which also promoted frustration and anger for its patients. My advice is to find a GP surgery that operates an appointment system that works for the patient AND the surgery, rather than this practice that seems to exist primarily to be run as a business rather than for its patients.
