The problem is one of lack of care, true empathetic care. I admire anyone who dedicates themselves to a profession in which all you do everyday is to listen to peoples problems. Nobody comes through a GPs door and exclaims 'what a beautiful day and all is well'. If one doesn't truly care then chose another 'very well paid' profession. True care should seek to treat the person and not the symptom. I have been left to feel a nuisance or inconvenience and most certainly 'on the clock'. I have had a problem that I have been seeking medical assistance with for a long period of time an in that time 'not once' has hands been laid on me, extraordinary give the nature of this physical ailment. I have tried to explain what I believe to be linked issue only to be told I would have to make another appointment. I am unwell and now feel isolated and unsupported with nowhere to turn.

in addition to the above is it not time to afford patients some degree of privacy at the surgery? The most sensitive of personal information has to be disclosed to a room full of strangers. A simple privacy booth/s would overcome this highly sensitive issue and at minor cost to the practice.
