I chose this practice for two reasons: proximity to home, public transport, and availability of evening appointments. There is little much else I can say in it's favour. It's difficult to get an appointment - to the extent that I resorted to using the walk-in clinic near my office when I had undiagnosed [at that stage] shingles. One receptionist is overworked but personable, the other older and clearly does not like her job or people and is difficult to understand due to a strong accent. Two seperate surgeries run out of quite a small space, there is no privacy for booking in, enquiries, or telephone appointments for either reception and not enough seating for both surgeries. Dr Ko's surgery itself could do with a refresh/makover, especially the toilet so it at least appears clean and hygienic. I do not understand why the surgery operates a policy of booking appointments so far in advance particularly for non-chronic conditions and why they allow OAPs/non-working patients to take the early morning, late afternoon and evening appointments when they have all day to attend. Both methods contribute to the difficulty of getting same week appointments and overuse of the same day sit and wait facility.
