Over 30 minutes waiting to see the Dr, for a child with ASC and ADHD was not ideal as she became anxious and wanted to leave.

I feel I can't say too much as I don't want to be struck off :) There are clearly major issues that need resolving given the 2.5 minute recorded message that all callers are subjected to.

I was grateful to finally be able to get to see a doctor, but I had hoped he would help with my outstanding MRI appointment that doesn'tappear on my NHS app. Instead I was advised to call the hospitals myself. Given I have no reference to quote and no one seems to know what hospital I need to call, I haven't bothered as I know they won't speak to me without a reference. The doctor also promised to send me a link where I can report my BP readings, but that had been received yet. Your question regarding any conditions is ironic. How can this be answered if patients cannot get hospital appointments?

No complaints at all about my appointment, doctor was helpful and answered all of my questions and concerns. Getting an appointment was very difficult. I had to call on two consecutive days, and wait on hold for 30+ minutes twice, despite calling as soon as possible after the lines opened at 8am on both occasions. I was put on the triage list on the first day, but I did not receive a call back. Based on what I was told over the phone on the second day, it seems that the doctor/receptionist had called the wrong number and got a confused response from whoever answered, but somehow concluded that the person they spoke to was my wife and decided not to try calling again.

Suggested improvements
In the case of my not being called back, the member of staff could have double checked that they had called the right number, and I would have thought some simple steps like this would be standard practice in case of not being able to reach a patient. Generally however, it is difficult to get an appointment through the practice due to the fact that they will only take these requests by phone, during the very limited hours they make available for this. Requesting appointments would be much easier if the practice were to provide a web form or email address that patients could contact. This could be accessed by patients at any time of day, and would mean that we would not have to wait on hold for up to an hour for phone calls to be answered.

Only recently joined this practice after moving to the area and am amazed at their efficiency and concern compared to my last practice.
