I feel that the receptionists can be more polite over the phone and be aware that not many patients would like to tell the receptionists the reason they are attending an appointment that day and also don't want other patients to know either so the receptionists should be considerate about this and not say loudly who the patient is here to see. Sometimes I see someone about a certain clinic and everyone knows one doctor can o two separate clinics and we nickname it the special clinic as we not want others in reception or waiting area knowing what we are exactly there for but the receptionists seem to take great pleasure in saying the clinics name such as sexual health clinic for example. I don't want everyone knowing that I am there to seek some advice on sexual health even though I am told by the doctor its confidential yet the receptionist has told everyone already! I think they should be re-made aware of patient confidentiality.
