I recently moved into the area and registered with Douglas Grove Surgery. I have been trying to make an appointment for several days. I ring from the time they open at 8.30 and bye the time the pick up (which can be up to 2 hours) all the appointments have gone. Had i have known that there is only 2 doctors at this surgery and the chances of getting an appointment are very slim i would never have registered there in the first place. Now without having seen anyone i'm having to find another practice which is shameful. They obviously can't cope with the patients they have so they shouldn't take new people on. I can only assume they get paid for each patient they have registered but the do the patients an injustice if they don't have sufficient staff to deal with the high level of demand. I would strongly recommend that you don't register here as the level of care for me has been zero.
