Nothing has really changed in all my 40 years of visiting surgeries. The experience is still 'dark ages' and one still gets the impression that consultations are all rather experimental - "...try this and we'll see how it goes..." For the life of me I can't see why surgeries in major conurbations can't/don't offer a better service. The contrast in style between this doctor's surgery and the dentist's surgery (also in Epsom) is stark - the dentist's surgery is bright, modern, colourful with current magazines on display and the doctor's surgery is the opposite. Can the NHS not even afford a lick of paint? Having said all that my doctor is attentive and helpful, it's just the overall experience that could be (a lot) better.
