Previous experiences of this surgery (reception staff and doctors) have been very positive, however I'm nearly at a loss for words regarding my most recent experience. Following a consultation, a GP mistakenly failed to make the agreed surgery referral (mistakes do happen). Chasing this matter up, however, has been a nightmare. I've called 4 times now, been told to expect call back that never came twice, and now told my a receptionist (after waiting 20mins on the phone) that she, as a receptionist, has "physically no way of leaving a message for the admin department" to prompt them to make the return call to me that I have been repeatedly promised (after my repeated suggestion she unconvincingly agreed to leave a physical note). The initial mistake I can forgive, but my referral for surgery is now being delayed further by weeks by seemly incompetent and unhelpful reception staff.
