part of my prescription was not included on the repeat form at the chemist, had to go to the surgery to get a prescription for the item not on the repeat list (friday morning) the 2 receptionist looked at me as if i was something they stepped in, when i said what i wanted they looked at there list of essential medication and said that mine was not on the list and that i would have to wait until monday afternoon to get said prescription, who are they to judge whether my medication is not worthy. APRIL 2021 had to phone surgery because i was in a lot of pain ( thursday) was told by receptionist that there was nothing available until tuesday did'nt ask what my symptoms were, the wife did not accept that answer, phoned herself 10 minutes later, different receptionist answered, receptionist asked about symptoms, was told that i had shingles, but still had to wait for prescription until late afternoon.

Suggested improvements
do not tell patients that there medication is not special enough and that they will have to wait for a repeat prescription. tell your receptionists to ask about symptoms, and not just say " nothing available until"
