Changed to this surgery because of poor experience at another local GPs. So far so good. Have tried to encourage my wife and child to move here too so not just a hypothetical friends and family test. One slip up changing my long term meds without discussion or informing me, but overall a much better experience from appointments and reception to in- house blood tests and GP consultation.
Clean surgery with friendly and patient receptionists. It can be difficult to get an appointment and you cannot book nurse appointments online. The 10 minute appointment slots feel very rushed and as though they are keen to categorize you as quickly as possible and then move on. I was told they were "pretty sure" about what I had but that the practice did not have funding to conduct further testing for a conclusive diagnosis. I mentioned that I have private medical cover and would like a referral and this was not well received. There seems to be a lot of assumption and supposition based on two blood tests.
This is an outstanding practice. I'm extremely lucky to have such a fab GP surgery. I have moved around a lot and have been with about 7 different surgeries. This one exceeds all my expectations. All the staff are diligent, highly professional and friendly and it's been a pleasure to be under their care while recently having my two young children.
I had a very bad experience when the doctor didn't pick up I had appendicitis and had to go to bmi at Syon clinic and got rushed into hospital. There was no urgency when I was in so much pain and have lost confidence with them!
I have concerns over the repeat prescription service. It often throws up mistakes in the dose of the drug concerned, does not get to my nominated pharmacy on time and leads to great inconvenience. It happens every time I need a repeat prescription.
