My Doctor is Nick Tait. When my parents were alive he was their doctor too, I brought all of us under the umbrella of his care and attention. He was wonderful with both Mum and Dad. Patient, caring with them: even when they were suffering with dimenture and always keeping me informed along the way. They both appreciated his gentle care and professional advice. Mum and Dad passed away with only two years in between, during that time my partner of 17 years left me for someone else and in doing so I also lost the home we shared. The combination of these events plus loss of work through caring for my parents, resulted in me going down a new path in life I had never walked before. Nick has been marvellous in guiding me out of this and towards better emotional, mental and physical well being. I totally trust him and feel I could talk to him about anything. He always looks at the broader view towards health care: carefully weighing the advantages and possible disadvantages of treatments and allows me a considerable choice and input into this. I hope he will stay at the practice for many years; it would be at a loss without him. The trust I have with him towards my health care is total and I am grateful for his caring, gentle attitude and dedication to his work and patients. The other person there who has been very helpful to me is Nurse Betsy. Since my personal losses she has given so much of her time to support and help in many ways. She has a gift for being a great listener and like Nick has a most caring, gentle and dedicated approach to her work. This ability to listen, care for and get on a level with a patient comes not only from her dedication and commitment to her patients, but also from a genuinely loving and caring personality. Like Nick she looks at the holistic picture in health care and allows me choice and input into this. It would have been much more difficult to recover from the last few years without Nick and Betsy's professional judgement, help, care, friendship and support. Thank you so much to you both. Kind regards, David Harrop
