I have been a patient of this surgery for about 12 years and have always been treated in a caring and professional way. I am sad to know that on the 15.1.18 i saw a different side to this my husband had an appointment to see the Dr on 14.1.18 at 5.10pm he was given a prescription of which the receptionist said they could order and it would be in on 15.1.18. we arrived at the surgery at 6.20pm to find we could not get in the door was locked they were still there as I could see someone in the window from the outside. I knocked on the door and a receptionist opened it and said that they were shut and had been all afternoon and that they had put posters etc up to say so (sorry I don't visit the doctor many times so did not see it not even yesterday and when they told us they had to order the medication they still did not say the surgery was shut this afternoon. we were not given the medication even though they opened the door we were sent away do not now know when we can collect it. In the past we have been told that the surgery shuts at 6.00 but someone is always there until 6.30pm bearing in mind we work and leave home at 7.00am (we work together) and do not get in until 6.00pm Monday to Friday how do i now get my prescriptions it was ok when the surgery was open late on a Tuesday evening, but is not anymore even thou the website and other sites say it is. I cannot ask to leave work early two days running so now we do not have the medication that my husband needs. I am so disappointed that this has happened as we have always had good service, Dr Heber is a lovely Doctor and I would like him to know of this experience. I would now like to know what happens now to people like us that work from 7.00pm till 6.00pm Monday to Friday how do we get any GP care.
