I made an appointment with an HCA, Nelly Chung, to have annual blood tests & I also made an appointment 2 weeks later with a doctor, Rachael Rooney to discuss the results. When I saw Nelly Chung she would not take blood for the PSA test (which I have been having on an annual basis for years) as she said she could only take blood for problems for which I was already taking tablets. I am taking tablets for hypertension so she said she would take blood for this. I pointed out the machine on her desk which is used to measure blood pressure! She then called the "on call" doctor, Rachael Rooney. I asked to be allowed to speak to Rooney but Rooney did not have the courtesy to speak to me even though I was in the room with the HCA who was not getting a satisfactory response. I found Chung incompetent and Rooney lacking in a "bed side manner". No doubt my hypertension had increased when I left the practice that day.
