1st May 2024

I mostly come to GP surgery for blood test appts requested by consultant. I can usually get an appt if booked a week or 2 in advance, with HCA Hannah, who is very pleasant and expert at her job. The last time I saw a GP was around May 2023, Dr Giles. I cannot praise her highly enough for her professional care. She was friendly and attentive and particularly diligent in gaining the best possible outcome for me. And kept me informed at all times.

Suggested improvements
Fortunately I have not needed to see a GP for awhile. I would say though, that access to appts was absolutely appalling for quite some time. That may be improving now… My husband was referred to A&E directly from the surgery in Oct/Nov 2023. The referral letter he was given was presented in a very unprofessional way - no headed paper, no detail of who he was and no name/signature of referring doctor…I did ask for another to be typed to include those details whilst he was on his way there and it was rewritten. More attention to presentation/letter content should be adhered to. Car/bike parking is not good.
