Tbf i wouldn't bother, My batch prescription expired in Nov 22, I phoned the surgery, to be told, i would need to order them electronically, on the 19th Dec, i ordered my 10 lots of medication early, 19.12.22, as I was away from 020123, I stated this on my order, I also requested the the script be sent to my nominated pharmacy, as usual. On 30.12.22 i had a txt from my pharmacy to say my medication was ready, i went to collect it, there was 1 item. I phoned the surgery, to be told that the script had been printed out and not sent, I was told the script would be at my pharmacy later today, 30.12.22, the pharmacy is closed, 31, 01,02 23, my medication expires on 04.101.23, so may maybe the surgery or the NHS would like to reimburse me for the £900 i spent and have had to cancel my holiday!! This in total incompetence as I requested my repeat early and requested it be sent to my nominated pharmacy!! NHS pfffttt!! Cost me 900 quid!!!

Suggested improvements
Do what the patient asked on the script request, it's not rocket science after all

I've always been able to see a Dr at open surgery in the mornings. Mostly the reception staff are polite My only complaint at the moment is having to explain my reason for a call back from a GP. to reception staff, but apart from this,I've have never had cause to complain ,and Its a good practice.

Suggested improvements
Nothing !!!! I'm totally satisfied with the practice, but a little unhappy about having to tell reception staff why I need an appointment. The open surgery is excellent!

I have been going to this practice all of my life. The doctor I see is fantastic (Dr Chumbley, particularly for long-term conditions), Dr Gear and Dr Murray are good for short-term issues, and I would not recommend the remaining doctors. The receptionists can be hit and miss - some are incredibly good and go out of their way to help you, where as others are abrupt and rude. Appointments can be difficult to get. You have to book months in advance, or at 8.30am on the day. This makes it difficult if you want to book one in-between these times. Also some of the better doctors are part-time, which again makes it difficult to get an appointment. They have introduced evening and morning appointments, which makes it easier for many people. You can order repeat prescriptions online, which is a quick process. There is parking round the back of the surgery, including some disabled bays, which is helpful and a bus stops directly outside the surgery. Overall, I would recommend the practice if you get the right GP.
