I have attended the surgery for many years for regular blood tests - this being easy to access at the Arnside House surgery. I have built up a good rapport with the clinical staff that i see but since the mergery this has gone and i am now seeing different people who i dont know. My last appointment left me feeling that the practice was disinterested in me as a patient or my ongoing condition. As for getting through on the telephone this is nigh on impossible. I made over 20 attempts one day to return a call from the practice and in the end gave up - its a good job it wasnt an emergency! I also see that Arnside now is only holding GP type appointments on a Monday and Tuesday. I live at that side of town, I work at that side of town and as a disabled person there is a car park. This has gone from what felt like a caring accessible practice to something very different - im not sure the merger has considered the patients who should be at the heart of this service.
