Rang up to get an urgent appointment, because I am in agony over an illness/injury that is getting worse not better. That which I have had for five weeks, despite repeated visits to this surgery, but am told I have to wait three (3) weeks for an appointment. I have chest pains and now difficulty breathing, but that seems not to matter. Very bad receptionist.

I apologise if this was the case, however, all patients who advise us that they have an urgent issue are offered a same day, usually within a couple of hours, call back by the senior clinician to triage their issue. If they believe an issue is clinically urgent they will bring the patient down on the same day to see a GP or themselves, Advanced Nurse Practitioners. I am sorry if you do not like the advice given or the service provided and can assure you it is in place to make sure that all patients receive the service that is appropriate for the care they need at that time.
