The surgery called asking me to make an appointment for a blood test (routine). During our talk the receptionist went to some trouble to get me a 2nd appointment within 10 minutes of the 1st one so I could ask about a different problem, without having to spend time in the waiting room. To top it all I received an email confirming the date on my iPhone within an hour of the telephone call and a 2nd one reminding me. This is First Class service and deserves 5 gold stars. I'm happy to tell anyone interested about great service when so much criticism is hurled at the NHS these days.

It was all good and running to time, but the radio on is the waiting room was very irritating. You couldn't hear the chat properly so it was just a background noise on the other hand it obscured the doctors announcements from the tannoy. If somebody really thinks patients need a distraction noise, put some relaxing music on.

My appointment was on time and I was not rushed through my consultation. Please attend to the volume of the doctors announcement when they are ready to see you, at the moment the volume is very low and we cannot hear which doctor is ready for us.
