My appointment was none urgent but the consultation was very professional and practical. However I did learn that the NHS is reactive and not proactive when it comes to following up existing conditions.
This is understandable in present financial climate but can lead to crises management of issues in the short term. Proactive approach may be difficult but would probably lead to a better management of the health of the patient. As a diabetic I am fully aware of how necessary regular checkups at are helping me control my condition, however t seems this does not apply across the board with other coditions.
This is not a criticism of my visit to my Surgery today but my view of NHS as it has become.
