Most of the gp's are great, but it is hard to get appointments, you're not told about emergency or on the day appointments and some of the receptionist can be very rude and try to give their own "medical" opinion...which isn't what I asked for

I have been in a lot of pain for a long time, I have been to the GP before, have a referral, seen a physio, but just recently the pain is so bad I asked for an appointment with a GP that could help me with my problem. I waited 14 days to see Dr Foster and I was appalled. I explained my pain thoughroughly, and the GP did not care, he did not listen and he did not help. He gave me a sick note to sign me off of work and sent me on my way. No suggestion of what the problem might be, no help or support regarding pain relief and no mention of how to avoid the pain in future. I thought your GP was supposed to help you. He could not have been less interested.

I have always been able to get a prompt emergency appointment. It has on a few occasions been difficult to get a follow up appointment when the GP or nurse has requested a review following the initial consultation. This seems to be because the clinics have not been entered on the computer far enough ahead. By far the best surgery I have ever been with. Excellent service, friendly and efficient GPs and staff, proactive treatment. I regularly recommend the surgery to friends who now also comment how pleased they are. Agree with previous comment the waiting room is a bit tired but it is the treatment I come for not the decor. Great care and great medical team

I saw Dr Hird and he was very friendly and patient. Excellent GP. I think the waiting room is a little bit "tired" and the toilet needs a soap dispenser that works and a brighter light. They definitely should NOT play music in the waiting room. I would prefer peace. The music is not to my taste. I went the other day and fortunately the radio was off this time. Please take note, I do not want to listen to Radio 2 and the the greatest hits from 1985. If you want to play music put some Gregorian plainsong on or Monteverdi madrigals. The point is that you will never please everybody or even a majority by just putting a bland music station on, so please just let us wait in peace, read a magazine as is traditional...but it is still a very good practice...
